Warriors Fall Apart in the 4th Quarter
The Warriors started very strong building up a double digit lead in the 2nd quarter. But by halftime they had given the lead up and went into half tied. The game was really a tale of different quarters which was driven by rebounding differential.
First quarter, Warriors led 35-24 and had a 10-6 rebounding advantage. By halftime not only was the score tied but the rebound total was tied at 21. But in the 2nd half the Warriors were outrebounded 30-15! This has been a problem for them all year but of course not having Wiseman and loosing Looney didn't help.
It hurts to lose these games were Steph is so good, when he's scoring 30 plus you want to secure those wins. Wiggins wasn't as efficient as he has been, scoring 15 on 6/16 shooting. Juan Toscano-Anderson looked great and made a strong bid to earn more minutes. With Looney and Wiseman both out for a few games they'll have to lean on Toscano-Anderson to give good minutes in the front court. Likely even playing some small ball center, very small at 6'6".
Warriors have the Mavericks the rest of the week. Playing on Thursday and Saturday, both in Dallas.
